Boris the Cat - The real Boss and CEO Loves treats and lobster and wrestling with his brother, a standard poodle.
Patricia Heading - Patricia was born in Cape Breton and grew up in the hotel business. After managing several hotels in the Halifax area, her love of animals, (along with an early mid-life crisis), brought her into the job she loves the most. Patricia lives with a standard poodle and various cats.
Dr. Paul R Kendall - DVM - Paul grew up on the family farm in Western Ontario. He graduated from the University of Guelph in 1980 with a B.Sc. in Agriculture and the Ontario Veterinary College in 1985 with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Kendall practices both small animal and equine medicine. Currently resides with 3 very hairy animal children . Dr Kendall interests lie in small animal medicine and surgery, with specialties in dermatology and laproscopic surgery.
Dr. Jesse Benjamin- DVM - Dr Benjamin grew up in Petite Riviere, NS. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science from St. Mary's in 2003 and her DVM from Atlantic Veterinary College in 2007. Dr. Benjamin's interests include small and exotic animal medicine and surgery, with a special interest in Avian medicine. She currently resides in Sackville with her husband and 3 children, 3 cats and 3 dogs.
Michelle Casey - AHT - Michelle joined our staff in 2003 after graduating from the Nova Scotia Agricultural College with a diploma in Veterinary Technology. Michelle was born and rasied in Sackville and currently resides with her husband Shawn and her children Rachel and Morgan. Plus her 2 cats Swiffer and Pekoe.
Christina Gregory - RVT - Christina works as an Animal Health Technician.
Tammy Lawson - RVT - Tammy has worked with us since March of 2006. She graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College and obtained her RVT status within the same year. After spending the better part of 5 years employed at the Atlantic Veterinary College she joined the team here at Sackville Animal Hospital. Tammy lives with her husband and 2 children as well as her dog Jackson, 2 cats Ceilidh and Whisp and 2 horses, Ricki and Charlie.
Christy Kizer - Christy has been on board since late in 2005. She has a diploma in Veterinary Assisting from the Maritime Business College. After being employed in Dartmouth for a few years she joined our team. She lives in Dartmouth with her husband and 2 cats Maguire and Simon.
Krystal Knowles - Krystal has been employed at Sackville Animal Hospital since 2004. She graduated from the Maritime Business College in 2004 with a diploma in Veterinary Assisting. She lives in Sackville with her husband and son, her dog Jayden and 3 cats.
Laura Hobbs - Laura has a diploma in Veterinary Assisting from the CompuCollege Halifax campus and has been with us since 2006. She lives in Sackville with her husband, 2 dogs Buck and Atticus, and 3 cats Ally, Duncan and Gus.
Jennifer Sutton - Jennifer joins us after she graduated from Eastern College in Halifax with a diploma in Veterinary Administration Assistance in 2008.
Never far from a book or a horse, she lives with her boyfriend in Halifax along with their cat Winnie.
Duncan Wetzel - Duncan Joined Sackville Animal Hospital as a volunteer in the summer of 2009 after making a career change from Real Estate. He became a permanent staff member in the fall of that year. His focus is providing customer service from the front desk and helps publish our bi-monthly "meows-letter". He resides in the Rawdon area tending to 3 horses, his Great Dane "Otis", and his 4 children. He looks forward to completing his Veterinary Technician Diploma at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College.
